Breaking the Coaching Code: How Great Coaches Transcend the Rules is focused on the coach practitioner. The key theme of the book is based on the notion of a first and second stage in a coach’s life. The first stage involves following the rules and learning the skills, while the second stage involves breaking the rules wisely and with compassion to become a deeply intuitive coach.
Many coaches get stuck in the first stage and become entrapped in the ‘rules’ of coaching. As the coaching industry continues to expand with the introduction of coaching platforms with low-cost services and AI, the market to survive and thrive, coaches will need to break away from rules and draw on their full humanity to differentiate themselves.
