Coaching can be a lonely business, and isolation can lead to stagnation. Having a community of like-minded coaches is a powerful source of inspiration and motivation. Whether you are an experienced coach or just starting out on your journey The Coach Tribe can be your place to hang out with others who are committed to making coaching a force for good in the world.

Who knows what the Coach Tribe will become in collaboration with the people who decide to hang out here? It will grow and evolve with your imagination, ideas and commitment, this is just base camp. I love the words of Ram Dass, “we are all just walking each other home”. These are the words that guide me in my coaching. Each person is unique, and perfect just the way they are but many of us, including myself, need to be reminded of that and walked back to our own inner wisdom.

I would love the privilege of witnessing your walk home to your best self. I never lose site of the honour it is to walk alongside, so my coaching is full of compassion and courageous challenge to help you be your best self. I can use a wealth of tools and techniques and psychometrics but as Carl Jung says:

“Know all the theories, master all the techniques, but as you touch a human soul be just another human soul.” C.G. Jung

I love the work I do. I have a passion for meaningful conversations. The real, honest, authentic, vulnerable, empathetic, compassionate and hard conversations that drive real change.

For me to have these kinds of conversations with my coach and for my coachees and supervisees to feel able to do the same with me, I fundamentally believe in the quality of the relationship as the foundation stone. A trusting relationship within which you feel truly heard and seen. I create spaces that feel both safe and energising, allowing you to feel supported, stretched and inspired. I will hold the space for the whole of you – not just the part you bring to our conversation – allowing for a deeper more integrated reflection.

Whilst the term authenticity is banded around quite freely these days, the meaning of it as described by Brene Brown, really sums up how I feel about coaching, my own personal journey and how privileged I feel to be able to walk beside you as you travel along your own path:

"Authenticity is the daily practice of letting go of who we think we’re supposed to be and embracing who we are. Choosing authenticity means cultivating the courage to be imperfect, to set boundaries, and to allow ourselves to be vulnerable; exercising the compassion that comes from knowing that we are all made of strength and struggle; and nurturing the connection and sense of belonging that can only happen when we believe that we are enough. Authenticity demands wholehearted living and loving—even when it’s hard, even when we’re wrestling with the shame and fear of not being good enough, and especially when the joy is so intense that we’re afraid to let ourselves feel it."

The work that I most love to do is supporting coaches in going beyond technique in developing and deepening their coaching. Edna Murdoch of the Coaching Supervision Academy says, that “who we are is how we coach”. My work is based on this simple but powerful philosophy.

I support coaches in becoming the unique coach that they are. The nicest feedback I get from my work with coaches is when they tell me that they have found the space to coach in their own way, beyond the coaching techniques and approaches they have learned. Of course, this has nothing to do with me – it’s about creating space for what’s already in you to emerge and be of service.

I want to support you in becoming bolder, more daring, more vulnerable and more confident in bringing your own voice to coaching.
